We found a place!

Yay! We have an apartment in Dallas. It's small, but it will work for our little family. It's about a 13 minute drive to Clay's work and it's RIGHT next to the metro station, so he could take that to work. It's very close to downtown Dallas. It's a little two bedroom/two bath apartment. Here's the layout:

So it should be alright, right? Because we've always lived in furnished apartments, we hardly own any furniture. We own a bed, a dresser, and a couch : / so we have a few things to buy!

We weren't able to go down to Dallas to look at apartments, so we're just going by the website (hopefully that's not a mistake). Here are some photos from the site (so obviously not our furniture):

The place also has two pools, a fitness center, tennis courts (and intramural teams, which Clay will love!), a clubhouse with a restaurant, and a lake right there. I'm excited to have a free gym super close!

We're on the first floor (wahoo!). Wish us luck with our move. I'm going to be so pregnant! Last week of August.

I have never cried so much in a movie before

Clay and I just saw the movie 17 Miracles. It was so good. And so sad. I'm sure everyone in the theatre cried. I think I was especially touched by the movie because it portrays the true stories of my ancestors. One of my great grandfathers, John Linford, was even a character in the movie. I am truly grateful for my heritage. I am grateful to those incredible saints who crossed the plains and suffered so many horrible trials because of their great faith. Because of them, I have the life that I have today. I would not be who I am or where I am if I didn't have the gospel of Jesus Christ, and I know it was those early saints and leaders of the church who made it possible for me to have the gospel. I am grateful that we have a loving Father in Heaven who grants us so many blessings and a Savior who loves us more than we know and has made it possible for us to return to Him.

You can read more about the pioneers here. and more about the Gospel here.

It's Official

We're moving to Dallas in September! Clay got a great job in the ICU unit at UT Southwestern. We're thrilled about the job, excited for the adventure, sad to move from Utah, and nervous to start a new job in a new place one month before baby arrives. It will be good. I'm sure. It's a big transition, but change is good. I'm mostly not looking forward to the weather, but I do like Texas other than that. And it's only about 4 hours from Clay's family. Anybody know anything about Dallas? : )

Happy Birfday

I turned 22 last week! : ) Here's a little bit of how my day went:

We kept it classy for lunch- Target Pizza Hut Pizza in the park : ) My fav

Then Clay decided to trick me into a mini hike. This is how I reacted. Hiking is not my ideal activity on my birthday. But baby needed some vitamin D and a little exercise, so I agreed.

 Cute hubby.

 Then the family came over.

And we went to the Melting Pot in Salt Lake. Definitely a different dining experience. Seven people sharing two small fondue pots got a little crazy. It was yummy though : )

Then I opened lots of presents, mainly baby stuff, which of course, I loved. The kitty liked all the excitement of opening presents too until he became the model for all the baby clothes. He didn't love the tutu.

He couldn't even walk normal in it. This is him sadly trying to escape and then just giving up.

Thanks to all my family and friends for the birthday wishes and love : ) It truly made my day!
