A sweet friend gave Ellery an early Christmas present the other day. Her first bike! It's a balance bike, so no pedals. They are supposedly easier and safer, teach balance, and make the transition to a real bike much easier. Ellery is IN LOVE with it. Clay had a hard time setting it up because she wanted to sit on it the whole time he was putting it together (otherwise I think it would have been a quick, easy set up). She got how to do it right away, she's just REALLY slow haha. She'll get faster over time. And after a few hours she got pretty good at turning/steering it. Unfortunately, the ice storm hit us the day after she got the bike, so we've been letting her ride it inside, which works because we have a long apartment and faux hardwood floors. She basically hasn't gotten off it since we got it. So fun.

She's starting to look like your mom I think, especially her expression in the 2nd to last photo. This makes me so excited for my little girl to get older!
